Overview:
The Nockberge Trail in summer is long-distance hiking at its best: Mostly above the timberline, you hike along gentle ridges and “nockigen” (=round) peaks with extremely scenic views through the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve. And when you hike below the timberline, you are accompanied by wonderful light larch and stone pine forests along the way. Yes, so much nature high above the valleys truly gives you a feeling of freedom! And the feeling of being far away from everyday life.
To enhance this wonderful feeling, we have put together an offer for you that turns the Nockberge Trail into a dreamlike hut hike. From your starting point on the Turracher Höhe to the finish in Seeboden on Lake Millstätter See, you hike 5 stages of the Nockberge Trail and stay overnight three times in simple but idyllic alpine huts or refuges. The package is rounded off with an overnight stay in a choice of upscale hotels or beautiful guesthouses in Bad Kleinkirchheim (after 2 stages) as well as at the starting and finishing points on the Turracher Höhe and in Seeboden.

Day 1: Individual arrival
